A new front in the war on science opens....
Apparently a new front in the War on Science has opened, the War on Epidemiology discussed here and here.

That the CDC is muffled by the Administration isn't exactly news here. I fondly remember the World Conference on Injury Prevention and Control, where the programme contained a statement noting that no funds from the CDC were used in any sections promoting gun control. Free speech is apparently unidirectional if you're funded by the State.
The use of anti-biotic agents in just about every home cleaning product and in agriculture is scary. For some reason makes me think of the Daleks -- resistance is futile! :)
